Listening to @aarondfrancis talking to @jessethanley on @MostlyTechPod wishing I had a similar group of cool solo-ish technical founders and builders to be friends and regularly talk shop with.
Hey @adamwathan, do you feel like any of your previous tailwind team members fit this profile?
Know if any of them still available, or have advice on finding the right candidate?
I imagine this skillset is hard to find

Appreciate any time or response
@IanLandsman long time @MostlyTechPod listener.
Have a friend that owns a podcast network. Maybe something to be learned or done together for @outrocrew
Not an investor. No shilling.
Whatโs the best way to contact you?
@nateberkopec Curious if youโd be open/willing to screen record an example of your process, or have some watch along demos youโd recommend?
Being able to see this in the real world could be really helpful for inspiring process change.
They still give me stuff that has holes or is wildly wrong and produces the wrong result, but the quick hints on direction and applied syntax shortens the distance between starting, testing and optimizing.
I generally dump on LLMs for coding.
Iโm bought into their leverage when it comes to optimizing existing code that needs deeper understanding of libraries and DSLs.
In both cases, there's a wealth of written documentation and documented tips and tricks on optimization; and compressing all of that down into and applying it in-context quickly is the leverage.
@rowancheung Is everyone missing the black square platform on the floor where a table would beโฆ probably some sort of hologram or projection mapping/receiving device
@aarondfrancis At first, I was mad for you and originally wrote a mean insult towards this guy; but Iโm not sure that helps. In any case, comment threads should automatically flag unproductive comments from pricks like this and put the author in bozo land for timeout.
@nateberkopec I just fixed an N+1 exactly like this in one of our controllers yesterday. A transaction call reduction of 50-80%. Itโs interesting to me that accessing the :through association doesnโt take advantage of includes when you use the nested version.
@aarondfrancis๐ก- TryHardStudios partnership with @andrewkane to produce a "Search" or "ElasticSearch"?
Not finding a lot of "this is the one" content for search & recommendation. I'd buy it, and maybe Andrew can get rewarded for his giant community contributions ๐.
WDYT?
@aarondfrancis Ah! Great news and music to my ears! Heard you talking about this on @MostlyTechPod and was really hoping you werenโt chasing down a path of trying to coordinate and/or sync bundles, licenses and cross-sells between multiple separate apps ๐
@aarondfrancis re: https://t.co/q3M5nJCZNU bundles, checkout, plans, etc.
Are you planning to use a license key + federated auth system?
Imagine it would be the easiest way to manage the ecosystem as it ages and grows.
Would be up to soundboard for ~30 on this if you want.
@aarondfrancis A microservice for authentication might be the easiest analogy for federated auth.
Tl;dr: people would have a shared account and creds across the THS or https://t.co/q3M5nJCZNU and its sub-branded course properties.
Centralizing it may make bundling/licensing&accounting easier
@adamwathan heard your newest Hackers Incorporated. Iโm happy to connect for 30 minutes+ to soundboard and talk through potential ideas on paths for tailwind, and for how to optimize for more days in flow state. Not looking for anything in return. Appreciate all youโve done.
