Good afternoon all,
As I'm sure many of you aware, Chadkirk Brew Co is now no longer trading and is in the process of being wound up. Many thanks to everyone who supported the brewery over the years in any capacity.
Version 8 (I think) of our hazy session pale ale being brewed today. A trans Pacific partnership of US Citra and Australian Galaxy in the boil which will be followed up with a dry hop of more Citra and Sabro in a few days.
Fermenting away this week we have a single hop from the US with classic grapefruity Chinook and one from Australia with tropical flavours and passion fruit notes provided by Tasmanian Galaxy
This week's brews both with an influence from the Antipodes. NZ Pale 4.0% hopped with Pacifica and Waimea for a dry and fruity beer and the single hop Motueka 4.2% providing flavours of sweet lime.
Brewed something a little different from the usual pale and hoppy today. A sweet malt base and bittered with UK Pilgrim then topped off with Styrian Wolf for a fruity finish.
This week's brews done and fermenting away happily. A new one, Amarillo, is a single hop pale with citrus-orange flavours and the latest iteration of US Triple Hop features a combination of Citra, Centennial and a Mosaic dry hop for strong tropical flavours.
Very pale golden beer with a nice light fruity bitterness. @SheffBeerWeek - Drinking a NZ Pale by @ChadkirkCo @ The Crow Inn โ https://t.co/MyUIKlg1Gw
