🚨 Burglar set fire to kitchen with family upstairs

🔥 @Shomrim were called urgently by family. A burglar had kicked open their front door with a family, Mum, Dad and baby upstairs. Whilst they locked themselves in a bedroom in terror, the burglar set fire to the kitchen and barricaded himself in the burning kitchen using the kitchen table.

🚔 Shomrim were on scene in under a minute and evacuated the family from the smoke-filled house.

🚑 Whilst the newborn baby was rushed to Homerton Hospital via @Hatzola suffering from smoke inhalation, @LondonFire arrived to put out the fire.

👮‍♂️@MPSHackney arrested the male for burglary and Arson. @MetPoliceUK, @LondonFire @Ldn_Ambulance complimented @Shomrim on their bravery, averting what could have been a much more serious incident.

🚔 Francis Achille, 63, has now been arrested for the 5th time in two weeks after Achille previously threatened Jewish children with a stick outside a Synagogue.

⚖️ Bail conditions include not being within 100 metres of any Synagogue.

⚖️ Tavius Jean-Charles appeared at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, 22 May and was sentenced to five years' imprisonment. He was given an indefinite restraining order preventing him from contacting his victims or entering the Stamford Hill area.

🚔 Working alongside @MetPoliceUK, @Shomrim identified Jean-Charles as the suspect. He was arrested on Monday, 23 March and taken into custody.

👤Tavius Jean-Charles, 36 (D.O.B. 06/01/1990), subjected six victims to repeated threats over several months between October 2025 and March 2026, with the incidents taking place near synagogues.

📢 He directed his threats towards individuals he believed to be Jewish, including shouting death threats and calling for Jewish schools to be blown up.

🚨 Further Update

👤 The male who allegedly attacked women and girls and racially abused them is currently subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and is also on bail conditions for the recent offences.

🚔 The same male was arrested again last night for breaching both his bail conditions and CBO conditions after being found by @Shomrim in a local resident's back garden.

🔗 He was also arrested by @MPSHackney @MetPoliceUK for assault and harassment offences which allegedly took place prior to gaining entry to the back garden.

⚖️ Tavius JEAN-CHARLES, of Bethune Road, London, N16, has been found guilty of multiple antisemitic offences including threats to kill and throwing a stone at a vehicle driven by a Jewish male, smashing the windscreen. The tirade of threatening and targeting Jews went on for months.

🏫 JEAN-CHARLES was overheard on his phone discussing blowing up one of “their” schools whilst standing outside a Jewish school.

🕍 The court heard a victim impact statement from a Synagogue manager stating: “Some of my congregation are terrified for their lives.”

⛓️ Tavius JEAN-CHARLES has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court for an array of offences against multiple victims.

⚖️ Mohamed Sibous, 18, (D.O.B: 02/08/2007), of Schoolhouse Lane, Limehouse, has been charged & is being remanded in custody to appear in court following the horrific video of threats to behead Jews.

🚨 Counter Terrorism Training for the Orthodox Jewish Community

🛡️ @Shomrim hosted an ACT Operational (Action Counters Terrorism) presentation for members of London’s Orthodox Jewish community in Stamford Hill.

🤝 The session was delivered in partnership with @TerrorismPolice, @MetPoliceUK, Counter Terrorism Policing London Protective Security Operations and supported by local @MPSHackney SNT teams.

📚 The vital training covered hostile reconnaissance, suspicious activity, identifying terrorist threats, emergency response procedures and how to help keep the community safe.

⚠️ With the UK threat level currently at SEVERE, meaning an attack is highly likely within the next 6 months, this type of awareness and preparedness training is more important than ever.

👏🏻 A huge thank you to the Counter Terrorism officers, Prevent teams, Met Police officers and @Shomrim volunteers who helped organise and facilitate the training session for the community.

🎥 @Shomrim are aware of the horrific video circulating on social media showing a gentleman threatening to behead Jews and much more. This was taken outside 82 Whitechapel Road, Tower Hamlets, London, E1 1JQ.

👮‍♂️ This has been reported to @MetPoliceUK @MetCC who are taking it very seriously and have started an investigation to identify and arrest the male and mitigate the immediate threats.

⚠️ We are aware of the fact that the Orthodox Jewish community is exceptionally concerned about these threats and want to reassure the community that we are working closely with @MPSTowerHam @MPSHackney and will be stepping up patrols till he is caught.

🎥 CCTV shows the latest antisemitic attack against the Orthodox Jewish community of Stamford Hill.

🕍 2 Jewish men were walking back from Synagogue at midnight on Friday night after enjoying the Sabbath celebrations.

🚗 A white VW Golf, VRM: LR18 OXJ, egged them with such force that one victim was knocked to the ground.

🚓 A @Shomrim volunteer attended a cardiac arrest via a @GoodSamApp alert.

💔 A patient had suffered a cardiac arrest, with family members extremely distressed on scene.

⚡ Our volunteer was first on scene within 1 minute of receiving the alert, confirmed cardiac arrest and immediately commenced CPR.

🫀 CPR and emergency medical care continued alongside @Ldn_Ambulance paramedics and senior clinicians following their arrival on scene.

🛡️ @Shomrim volunteers are medically trained and registered to respond to emergencies via @GoodSamApp, providing immediate lifesaving support prior to ambulance crews arriving.

🚨 Jewish boy shoved off bike “for a laugh”

⚠️ The latest in a string of antisemitic attacks facing Stamford Hill’s Orthodox Jewish community.

🚲 The 11 yr old was innocently riding his bike after school when 3 girls walked past and threw him into a shop shutter, they giggled as he struggled to keep his balance in shock.

👊 A female suspect punched a visibly Jewish school boy whilst shouting antisemitic abuse.

📍 Osbaldeston Road Bus Stop UA, Clapton Common, E5, Hackney
🕒 Sunday 10th May 2026 at approximately 3:45pm

👊 A male suspect assaulted multiple visibly Orthodox Jewish females, whipping them with his belt, before also spitting at a Shomrim volunteer. He also spewed a continuous torrent of horrible racial abuse at his victims and subsequently at Shomrim volunteers.

🚓 @Shomrim volunteers responded within a couple of minutes and detained the suspect. He was subsequently arrested by @MPSHackney @MetPoliceUK for racially aggravated public order offences and assault. Suspect has been charged with 5 offences & was remanded to appear in court.

🚨 Antisemitic Hate Crime in Stamford Hill

💵 Group of youths harassed Jewish residents in Stamford Hill holding a fishing rod with money attached.

🚓 @Shomrim volunteers were quickly on scene and notified @MPSHackney @MetPoliceUK and monitored the youths until police arrived to make arrests.

📍 Adam Bedoui, 20 (24.05.2005), of Park Lodge Avenue, Hillingdon, and Abdelkader Bousloub, 21 (26.02.2005), of Merrivale Mews, Hillingdon, travelled to a predominantly Jewish area to film antisemitic content for social media.

📱 The pair travelled to Stamford Hill and abused Orthodox Jewish people whilst filming their encounters for Tik Tok.

👨‍⚖️ Both men pleaded guilty to a religiously aggravated public order offence on Saturday 09/05/2026 at Thames Magistrates’ Court.

📅 Bedoui and Bousloub will appear for sentencing at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday 05/06/2026.

🚨 James Agius [DOB: 20.03.1976], from Hackney, London, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court for a first hearing.

📄 He was charged with multiple counts of religiously aggravated harassment and using threatening words or behaviour causing harassment, alarm and distress.

👨‍⚖️ Agius will next appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on 15/06/2026 for trial.

🔥 Update, Arson Attack on Former Synagogue

🚨 Two arrests have now been made by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing London investigating the arson attack at a former synagogue in East London.

👮 A 45 year old man and a 52 year old woman were arrested on Sunday 10/05/2026 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson.

⚖️ Both suspects remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
