Hoodi postponed, update to Lodestar v1.50.1 ⤵️

[Lodestar @lodestar_eth]

The Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet (scheduled for Oct 26) has been postponed.

If you run a node or validator on Hoodi, please update to Lodestar v1.50.1 to remove the activation schedule. Paired EL clients must also be updated. Mainnet is unaffected.

ChainSafe's public-facing production infrastructure averaged 99.99% availability across 14 endpoints over the past 12 months.

Here's what's behind it: 7 providers, 4 regions, and the nodes, snapshots, testnets, and validators we run.

Porting anything Ethereum into Canton? We can bridge it.

Our ERC-20/CIP-56 Middleware works by sitting an Ethereum JSON-RPC façade in front of Canton. MetaMask thinks it's talking to an Ethereum node.

You sign, and the middleware translates the EVM command into a native Canton call in real time. Balances and transfers work the way your team already expects.

Behind it, a dedicated relayer per partner locks your ERC-20 1:1 on Ethereum and mirrors it as a CIP-56 token on Canton. We build a bespoke bridge per asset, not a shared pool.

Result: build, test, and deploy with the EVM workflows you already know on Canton's institutional rails.

Solstice is live on @Filecoin mainnet!

Now, part of every block reward goes to the services that bring paying customers onto the network.

Our Forest team helped get it here by contributing to the core code every Filecoin node runs. Forest supports Solstice on mainnet from v0.38.0. Make sure you’ve upgraded your Forest nodes!

And for a great explainer on why Solstice matters, check out @DecentraMike’s thread 👇

[DecentraMike @DecentraMike]

The hardest part of decentralized governance isn't voting. It's incentives.

For six years, Filecoin rewarded the creation of storage capacity. Now, we're taking a major step toward rewarding something fundamentally different: paying customers.

Here's why Solstice matters. 🧵

[Molly Mackinlay | momack @momack28]

@ChainSafeth 💙 So excited to see Forest improving! The latest storage provider onboarding guide actually recommends using Forest instead of Lotus for faster performance on small devices! https://t.co/a7saoS0w0q

Stable, baseline-revenue infrastructure for ecosystems that can't afford downtime.

[ChainSafe @ChainSafeth]

Most rollup downtime is due to sequencer and batcher failure.

Naturally, our fleet never takes a day off. We run it across 7 providers in EU, North America, LATAM and APAC, with 99.99% mean availability across 14 public endpoints over the last 12 months.

@momack28 Thanks, Molly! 💛 Running lean on modest hardware has been a Forest goal since day one. Great to see it in the FOC onboarding guide!!!

Filecoin turns 6 today!

Our initial commit for Forest landed Nov 8, 2019, 11 months before mainnet launched.

We’ve grown alongside the network ever since, building an independent Rust Filecoin node and running infrastructure that helps keep the chain accessible and reliable.

Every payment in the loop settles onchain. And we’re proud to have been helping Filecoin stay healthy and active all these years!

Happy birthday, @Filecoin 🎉

[Filecoin @Filecoin]

Major developments to Filecoin tokenomics and strategy that go live this month 💫

1. Rewarding customer acquisition & retention with new network reward mechanics
2. End of vesting built into the genesis block completes, reducing daily token supply growth
3. New products for enterprises and AI agents

[ChainSafe @ChainSafeth]

Your team doesn't have to learn Daml just to use Canton.

Our ERC-20/CIP-56 middleware: sign in MetaMask → middleware translates → native CIP-56 on Canton. Customized, per-partner bridge, 1:1 lock/mirror.

[Lodestar @lodestar_eth]

Are you ready for Glamsterdam on Hoodi? Well you will be when you upgrade Lodestar to v1.50.0!!! Check out the release notes for config information.

Huge milestone for the ecosystem. Congrats to all core dev teams pushing Ethereum forward!

Another monumental achievement inbound. One of the most ambitious upgrades in Ethereum's history is live on Sepolia

🌲 This Month in Forest: September 2026

Fix, v. "To remove [a bug] by redefining the program specification in order to take advantage of an unexpected feature."
— Stan Kelly-Bootle, The Computer Contradictionary

This month, we fixed things the hard way:

→ NV29 "Solstice":
Forest upgraded alongside the other implementations on calibnet, with post-upgrade state matching Lotus on two test networks

→ Proof-parameter hosting:
ChainSafe is now the default @filecoin provider for Forest and Lotus at https://t.co/bUUyMfjIb3

→ EVM tooling:
forest-cli evm deploy, call, and invoke work with no Lotus binary needed

→ Ethereum compatibility:
eth_sendRawTransaction returns the Ethereum tx hash, so forge script works again

→ Performance:
computing a message's encoded length is 30–50% faster

→ Correctness:
three Filecoin.MpoolPending fixes and a closed snapshot GC race

→ Validation:
CI checks Forest's responses against an independent dataset on calibnet and mainnet

→ Releases:
v0.37.0 "Sharad Sampat" is mandatory for calibnet node operators, and the mainnet NV29 release follows in the coming weeks
