I've built a few social media accounts now;

2 Facebook meme pages that grew to about 15k followers and 28k followers respectively

An Instagram to 7k

A political Twitter account I've long since deleted that was like 5k

Nothing huge, but I'd say my problem is I'm too scatter-brain ADHD to ever commit for too long-

currently I only operate this Twitter really and shitpost on my alt here.

Some tips on building your account:

Engage engage engage, just engage with people.

Be genuine and don't try too hard, people see it

Have a way to lurk FB/Insta/Twitter/Discord groups, have a wide variety of meme pages.. you'll notice you can arbitrage memes that your sub-communities haven't cross pollinated

Know when to be an aggressive bastard and take a stand, and know when to concede and apologize and back down from a position

Make original content, I promise you it doesn't have to be good, and the more you make the better you'll get at it
