Terrible news coming out of #Vantaa a new town like #Harlow who were members of the European New Towns Platform when I was President. My prayers and thoughts are with the people of the town today as we process this awful shooting. I pray no fatalities.

My thoughts & prayers today are with Luke Mackenzie’s family & friends.

Luke was Mayor of Basildon last year & this. I had the pleasure of knowing & working with him. He was a dedicated & passionate public servant.

He has sadly passed away, at far too young an age.

RIP.
