I just found out that a standard deck of 52 playing cards has some interesting parallels to the 365-day calendar.

52 cards = 52 weeks in a year.
4 suits = 4 seasons.
13 cards in each suit = roughly 13 weeks in each season.
The 12 face cards (4 Jacks + 4 Queens + 4 Kings) can be associated with the 12 months.

If you assign values to the cards (Ace = 1 through King = 13), the total is 364. Add 1 Joker, and you get 365 days.
In a leap year, adding a second Joker gives 366 days.
