A rapidly growing collection of historically important documents, photographs, uniforms, equipment, and ephemera primarily relating to the Glider Pilot Regiment
The capture of the Orne Canal and Orne River bridges was one of the most important and breathtaking events in the GPR battle honours. It is sometimes forgotten that the regiment also played a much larger and equally crucial role on https://t.co/loc6RBjbwS, June 6 1944... 1/4
A superb piece of film from the IWM Collection, WITH SOUND. Note the two GPR pilots in shirt sleeve order with pinned on wings!

Bernie Vincent and Martin Bull are restoring a rare WW2 Airspeed Horsa glider cockpit, a challenging project involving expensive, hard-to-source materials. Built at Cheltenham's H.H. Martyn factory, this example is one of 3,800+ used for 1944 invasions, including D-Day and Arnhem

Join us at The Vickers MG Exhibition in October. Free entry and no need to book. More info available through our newsletter. Just over five months away! #militaryhistory
On Monday evening (27 April) we will be at @GLiveGuildford to support @DavidOlusoga for his ‘A Gun Through Time’ stage show.
We had the opportunity to show the devastation of the #VickersMG a few weeks ago and the audience get to see this as part of the show.
We’re pleased to have moved from the text drafting to the layout phase of our next book: The Bren Gun in North West Europe and at Home - Infantry 1938-41.
It’ll be ready in the next couple of months and probably in time for TankFest.
