As we commemorate Black History Month, we acknowledge the profound interconnectedness between the struggles for Black liberation and Palestinian liberation.
This is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. “Local people”. Those local people are some of the best journalists in the world. But Palestinians can’t be trusted. Also the implication that the BBC journalists would somehow be superior. Do they hear themselves?
Leaders of our communal institutions have stood firm in their support for ISR&IDF as never before. Silent as Jews for Palestinian self-determination have been disowned&forced from their shuls. Even from them a single word for Palestine is intollerable. Let this be a wake up call
@JohnSimpsonNews Denouncing Gazan journalists as "terrorists w/ Press vests" has been key to ISR justifciation for killing journalists. Surely you can see that w/o having to be in Gaza? And here you tacitly endorse the logic by blaming Gazans instead of ISR who controls the territory. Shameful
I’d like to commend BBC presenter @StephenNolan for reading out just now on @bbc5live Aljazeera journalist @AnasAlSharif0’s last words.
That was so refreshing and heartwarming at this difficult time for humanity.
@JohnSimpsonNews A victim-blaming, dereliction of duty. You don't have to be in Gaza to see that it's too easy b/c international media class prefer amplifying dehumanising state propaganda over discernment. Couldve started w/ reporting on genocidal ISR media or Knesset live streams since Day 1
Why is this tweet still up?!
""The man had been assaulted by a number of other passengers and was initially arrested by an off duty officer, before being detained under the mental health act and taken to hospital where he remains."
The @guardian is 18 months late to this story, which is a national scandal.
It neglects to mention @declassifiedUK and @kennardmatt have been reporting it throughout and @jeremycorbyn has regularly asked questions in parliament.

I often wonder what happened to Keir Starmer the human rights lawyer.
He’s facilitated a genocide, demonised refugees, and proscribed a non violent direct action protest group.
He’s like a firefighter turned pyromaniac.
@AaronBastani Shameless. You weren't encouraging thoughtful community intervention, you were supporting vigilanty assaults and restraint of a black man probably in mental health crisis. You're well-read: what does history tell us about that kind of scenario?
@AaronBastani It looks like several men are hitting and kicking this lone man before he's restrained face down. That what you mean by "good on these people" ?
When you say "this" did you consider the man might be in a mental health crisis - as some suggest in the vid - before posting?
Israel is not a liberal democracy.
It is an occupying genocidal apartheid regime.
It is impossible for such a state to hold itself to account.
It must be held to account.
.@SOAS has now expelled Haya Adam, one of its brightest students and a tireless activist against the genocide in Gaza
Absolutely disgraceful decision
The university’s reputation will never recover
This cannot stand. Mobilise to get Haya reinstated
Life long activists who would’ve fought for the housing security of each and every resident in their community, were blocked from standing for Parliament up and down the country.
But apparently “The highest possible quality candidates” includes rip off landlords.
The majority of the world believes Palestinians who have spent 22 months reporting on the death &destruction of their people. It's Western Europe & North America elitism that treats Palestinians as liars & insists on casting themselves as saviours. Peak colonial exceptionalism
The world needs honest, unbiased eyewitness reporting to help people make up their minds about the major issues of our time. This has so far been impossible in Gaza. Journalists around the world should support calls for reporters to be allowed into Gaza now.
