Minnie: I’ve known Lisa since I was a trainee. There was a time when I felt really tired and didn’t know when I would debut. I talked to her about it, and she told me, “You just focus on what you have to do. The things you can’t control, don’t worry about them. Just do your best with what you can control, and everything will work out.” It was something like that. She said things that really cheered me up, and I remember feeling, “Wow.” I also felt that she was very humble. I was like, wow, my friend is such a global superstar.

MC: Do you have any examples of her humility that made you feel that way?

Minnie: One example is that I’ve known her for many years, and she’s still the kind of person who comes back to see her friends and family and acts the same as always. When she’s with her friends, she’s exactly the same. She never acts like, “I’m Lisa,” or anything like that. Not at all. Sometimes I even feel like, is the friend standing in front of me the same person as the one on stage? She’s very easygoing. Even when it comes to food, she’ll eat anything.
