🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Colorado dad who helped his son become the YOUNGEST PERSON EVER to reach the top of Yosemite’s El Capitan...
...was REPORTED TO CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES for letting him do it.
Yes, you read that right.
His name is Joe Evermore, his son is Joey “Danger” Evermore.
Yes, Danger is his real middle name 🤣
Joey started the climb at 6 years old and he turned 7 HALFWAY UP THE WALL.
On May 20th, after FIVE DAYS on a 3,000-foot granite face, he reached the summit.
His older brothers, Sam and Sylvan, had both done it at 8, Joey beat them both.
By the way... this was not a stunt thrown together over a weekend, it was a rope ascent with a full support team.
Joe says his son was anchored to the wall the entire way, and that he managed the risks with a team, preparation, and training.
In his dad’s words: “In a way he’s the least afraid that we’ve ever seen.”
After the story went global, the comments turned ugly.
Joe says people told him his kids would be better off in FOSTER CARE... and then came the CPS reports.
Not one. MULTIPLE.
Joe says the family then got a LETTER from Child Protective Services.
CPS had reviewed the complaints... and DECLINED to pursue them (the right move)
Joe’s words: “they just don’t understand what’s dangerous and what’s not dangerous.”
So true... people let their kids have live access to anything and everything on the internet, but as soon as they see a brave kid doing something OUTSIDE, people lose their minds.
Childhood is being slowly destroyed by people who don't know what danger really is.
This man did nothing wrong and that boy is a LEGEND!!!!
I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country
NEW: While other singers drop F bombs and virtue signal about ICE, Jelly Roll praises Jesus Christ at the Grammys.
“I know they're gonna try to kick me off here, so just let me try to get this out.”
“First of all, Jesus, I hear you and I'm listening, Lord. I am listening.”
“I want to tell y'all right now, Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus and anybody, everybody can have a relationship with him…”
Your job is to keep the wheels from falling off.
If you slip into a doomscroll session, eat too much, or go to bed late, the worst thing you can do is let that bad behavior be a permission slip for more.
Get back on the horse. The people you envy aren’t machines. They’re not perfect. They probably just snap back quickly. It’s so easy to spiral when the dam breaks, but the best thing you can do is keep the bus from breaking down entirely.
Eliminate the huge swings, if not for the sake of progress, than for your sanity.
Ages 25–30 are hard for a man because reality hits. You start seeing patterns you ignored before, bad habits, weak choices, wasted time. You realize some of your pain isn’t bad luck, it’s repeated mistakes. That awareness is heavy, but it’s also the beginning of real growth.
This is the phase where excuses stop working. You start cutting off distractions, questioning friendships, and taking responsibility for where you are. Breaking cycles isn’t easy, it feels lonely, slow, and uncomfortable. But every small change you make builds self-respect. You stop living on autopilot and start moving with intention.
These years are not meant to be easy, they’re meant to shape you. The man you become in this window decides the rest of your life. Stay disciplined, stay patient, and keep choosing better even when no one is watching. If you can survive this season, you’ll enter your thirties stronger, clearer, and far ahead of the men who never woke up.
Life is amazing:
-get jacked
-crush it at work
-marry an honest woman (with a good body)
-treat her amazing
-travel the world
-watch good movies
-avoid complainers
-prioritize your health
-call your friends for no reason
-be a hot strong dad
-host banger dinner parties
-and if you’re ever feeling down remember you’re spinning on a sphere in an infinite universe and the fact you’re alive is a 1 in 500 trillion miracle - you’re so lucky it’s absurd and you have nothing to lose :)
your SPOUSE is the one who’ll sit beside you when your PARENTS DIE. who’ll hold your hand through CHILDBIRTH. who might have to BATHE YOU if you’re ever too sick to stand. this isn’t just about BUTTERFLIES or DATE NIGHTS. it’s about choosing someone who SHOWS UP... in GRIEF, in MESS, in UNCERTAINTY. so no, LOVE ALONE isn’t enough. COMMITMENT, MATURITY, and the ability to ENDURE life’s ugly parts... that’s what sustains a MARRIAGE. because when life gets PAINFULLY REAL, ROMANCE won’t carry you... CHARACTER will. and the truth is, FOREVER is only possible with someone who knows how to STAY when it’s HARD TO LOVE
My son was 16 when he was hit by a drunk driver. He was in a coma for 3 months. The neurologist sat us down in a sterile conference room and laid out the scans. 'His brain stem is intact,' he said gently. 'But the rest... it’s dark. If he wakes up, he will be a vegetable. He will never speak, never know you, never feed himself. You need to consider long-term care facilities.'
We refused. We brought him home.
We set up a hospital bed in the living room. We played his favorite Led Zeppelin records. We read him comic books. We talked to him for 12 hours a day.
Six months later, I was shaving his face, telling him a bad dad joke.
He didn't just smile. He laughed. A croaky, dry laugh.
Then he looked at me and said, 'That wasn't funny, Dad.'
Today, he is finishing his engineering degree. He walks with a cane, but he walks.
The doctor calls him an 'anomaly.' I call him a fighter. Never let a statistic determine your destiny.
Growing up, other people were your best form of entertainment. I can’t remember many times as a young kid where I was bored and alone. Now everyone lives in their own universe.
