Abstract: Web3 Builders & IP - Recap @LegacyWeb3io
Listened to the mega space with Abstract builders and creators: @bearish_af@FugzOfficial@astroversewtf@Cryptoys@DailaX@BlueTigerX_@APCollectiveHub 👇
Who's building on Abstract?
Bearish - one of the first projects on the network:
• 2.4B GIF views on Giphy, 22M/day (3rd place after SpongeBob/Pudgy)
• Teaching community to code, ran 3+ hackathons (10 ETH + $75k in prizes)
• Launched Drip platform (Discord economy) for holder rewards
• Partnerships with BNB/Binance on major hackathons
Fugz - personality-driven IP:
• 200M views on Giphy in 5 months
• 60M+ on Instagram in 6-7 weeks (fastest-growing IP in Web3)
• Commercial IP rights for holders, educational classes
• Full "founder funnel" transparency of the building process
Astroverse - IP + products:
• $1M accelerator (first investments rolling out)
• Astro Dash game (beta soon)
• Astro GIF + Astroverse AI in development
• Focus: "attention → conversion", not just hype
Cryptoys - digital toys company:
• Partnerships with Disney, Mattel, NASCAR
• Idea from founder's 6-year-old daughter
• Using Mickey Mouse/Star Wars to onboard Web2
• "NFT 2.0" narrative: fun/fandom/utility over speculation
Key Themes:
1. Attention recession in Web3?
• Abstract launched with massive hype, dominated CT, but activity dropped
• Solution: build not just for Web3, but for mainstream via viral content
• GIFs from Bearish/Fugz live in Web2 - people don't know it's crypto (and that's a win!)
2. How to win attention:
• Passion + authenticity - people sense fake (Daila)
• IP as a bridge: viral GIFs/memes open doors to Web2
• Community = prophets: Bearish teaches coding, Fugz gives IP rights, all reward activity
3. Incentives: the delicate balance
• Web3 = financial space, incentives work ("show me incentive = show outcome")
• BUT: hyper-financialization killed trust - "NFT = scam" in Web2 eyes
• Solution: financial + non-financial (education, games, creativity, status)
4. NFT 2.0 (from CrypToys):
• Not "buy NFT get rich", but "play with digital toys, own characters"
• Disney/Star Wars = entry point for mass audience (first wallet without fear)
• Change terminology: "digital toys/collectibles" instead of "NFT"
5. How to break through the noise:
• Experiment, create trends (don't copy meta)
• Attention ≠ Conversion: catching the feed isn't enough - need to retain with product
• Sustainability > hype, small steps > giant promises
Takeaways:
✳️Web3 isn't dying - focus is shifting (from PvP/exit liquidity to products and culture)
✳️IP + viral content = real bridge to Web2
✳️Community is the main asset (empowerment > exploitation)
✳️Sustainability > hype, authenticity + transparency = loyalty

Abstract just got a whole lot faster.
Block times are down from 1s to 200ms, a 5× speed boost for every transaction, unlocking truly real-time apps and seamless user experiences across the network.
Now live on Abstract mainnet ✳️
I stand for circular economy models in gambling projects, where real cash flow is generated, but those funds shouldn’t go entirely into the developers’ pockets.
We need a model where the project’s value depends on community engagement, not hype.
The most basic step is to reinvest earned funds into liquidity pools with your own token and redirect them back to the community.
If there’s no token, don’t make a single $160K lottery ticket like in a @gacha_game_. Instead, create a fund that tracks users’ weekly/monthly losses or spending and returns up to 90% in the form of cards, NFTs, or extra games.
Build a project with RTP close to 99%, so players keep coming back while the project remains stable.
This is a win-win strategy:
— the community stays engaged,
— the network gains volume,
— the project lasts longer.
Why hasn’t any gambling project on @AbstractChain taken this path yet?
i just opened the moonsheep mystery box, and claimed 77 tickets 🛸
nobody knows what they’re for.
maybe nothing. maybe everything.
you should open them
you’ll hate yourself if you don’t.

Liked the game @playhuntertales , though the chain is unknown.
It’s a multiplayer dark fantasy game where you build, fight, and survive together.
Really liked the style — reminds me a bit of The Beacon. What makes it even better is that I stumbled upon it at an early stage.
Recently, Hunter Tales launched a referral campaign that’s said to last until the end of October.
You don’t have to grind for referrals, but you can still earn some points before it ends — though it’s unlikely to reach the leaderboard. By the end of the event, you’ll probably have time to build only two structures.
Would appreciate it if you join through my invite:

I’ll be keeping an eye on the project — getting in early might give us a nice advantage later.
An interesting announcement just appeared in the rewards tab👀
The new badges took a while, but they’ve finally arrived.
Maybe it’s no longer worth relying on what @Phin_totten said during the summer voice chat - but let me remind you of his words:
✳️
“Badges have become a powerful tool, but they’ve also become a dangerous one.”
“We’re looking into the possibility of v2 badges.”
“Badges should be less rare - that’s how I’d put it.”
“Badges have become too important to people, and we’d like them to be more of a fun reward instead. So we’ve discussed things like reactive badges, progressive badges - thinking of them more as achievements rather than just badges.”
“They were originally meant to be something less significant, but that led to every team wanting their own badge, thinking it was the only way to attract users.”

He's solved real challenges and built sustainable ecosystems in Web3.
That’s why having Luca as a mentor for our incubator is a game changer.
Welcome officially to the DAO Luca!

Number of roles on the @AbstractChain Discord server
This estimate is very rough and based on the limited information I have.
The approximate number of Discord members is 110-150k.
As of December last year, around 38k “Elite Chad” roles were distributed. Back then, it was possible to get one by holding certain NFTs, so the entry barrier was lower.
What’s the situation now?
Here’s my rough estimate of the total number of roles today:
