@gabe_creative When I was in secondary school, I visited the Kowloon Walled City Park and saw some models of the former building of the Kowloon Walled City and fragments of their lives. It made me think that the location in the movie is a bit similar to the Kowloon Walled City.

@gabe_creative I think that the real location may be based on the late 80s/early 90s Hong Kong with the Kowloon Walled City being a major source of inspiration for its dystopian overcrowded vision of the future.

But I think that everyone does not necessarily focus on external beauty and internal beauty is also important.

In my own experience, I don’t think this is the case for Hong Kong as arcades are just entertainment for people to relieve stress and the culture of going to an arcade slowly fades in Hong Kong.
