🔵The second Keynote of #ECI2024 was an EXTRAORDINARY session led by Prof. Tak Mak👏👏, provided an in-depth exploration of the complex interplay between metabolism, neural regulation, immunity, and cancer.

🔍 Here’s some key points:

🔑New targets in oncology: balancing the fire and water. 🔬TET2 and IDH2 mutations in hematopoietic cells induce T cell lymphoma (AITL).

🧬Metabolic adaptation, affects DNA repair and genomic instability results in immune activation affecting immnotherapy responses.

👉Acetylcholine produced by T cells controls liver cancer. 💥The neuroimmune circuit activates cholinergenic lymphocytes in cancer.

💡Serum choline levels predicts improved progression free survival in patiente receiving immunotherapy.
