New @TheWrap: Don't drop your agent just yet. We tried Quilty, a new AI tool that promises to analyze and provide insightful feedback on your scripts, feeding it the screenplays for “Sinners,” “Barbie,” “Christy” and “Die Hard,." The results left us slack-jawed.
Anyway, if you haven’t seen the show in a while this might be a challenge. I just couldn’t let it sit in a digital drawer collecting dust, or whatever virtual dust looks like. If nothing else I hope it prompts some rewatches. Please enjoy!
Following the spec episode discussion and emboldened by @stacewrites_ excellent take on The Studio, I herewith submit my #Leftovers script for your approval. It is fully ten years old (yikes!) but it certainly did some nice things for my career. https://t.co/Uydd1FGhfA
I find speccing shows I love to be a delight. For this one, I went to the source material and pulled my favorite elements from the book that weren’t used in the series. Then I followed some season one arcs to their logical — sometimes chaotic — conclusions.
People are talking about opera and ballet this week because a celebrity mentioned them in an interview, and that’s the sort of publicity you can’t buy.
Ryan Coogler cited "The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank" as an influence on Sinners. "The After Hours" was quoted verbatim in a Severance episode. Carol Sturka of Pluribus got her surname from a character in "Third from the Sun." 2025 was the Twilight Zone's year, influence wise
How embarrassing to be outed at #GoldenGlobes as head of Crafty on The Studio. It’s my honor to serve you gluten-free bagels with extra cream cheese, @Sethrogen
Nia DaCosta’s #Hedda is brilliant. A remarkable Ibsen adaptation that elevates the dark heart of the play by contemporizing it. Awards season won’t point you there, alas, but hey — popularity is not an indicator of greatness (or longevity).
