In the church, we shouldn’t think in terms of importance but of calling & service. Everyone has a role & the church needs everyone to fulfill his or her role. We complement & complete each other.
We must be passionate in worship. We must have a hunger and thirst for righteousness. We must love souls. This zeal must eat us up. It must dominate our thoughts, plans, dreams, and visions.
If we hoard our life and focus on pleasure, then at death we will lose everything. But if we spend our life for God’s kingdom, we will enter eternal life. (See John 12:24-25.)

Churches need to double down on what an algorithm can’t provide: sustainable community, interpersonal discipleship, and a life-giving mission bigger than a single individual.
Failure to love your neighbor always begins with a failure to love God more than anything else. When you don’t love God as you should, you insert yourself in his position in your heart and life becomes all about you.
