Dainik Bhaskar visited med colleges in 15 districts
Not even half the required faculty, students using YouTube lectures to study and passing without any practicals!!!
Same is happening in states across India
Destroying medical education
@MoHFW_INDIA@PMOIndia

A new TEQ draft has been released by the NMC's PG board, rather than the usual UG board. We are not surprised. While the MCI's BOG was kind, considerate, and rational, the NMC has been outright hostile and unsympathetic. What else can be expected from it?
It is said that a nation is judged by how it treats its minorities. The same applies to the @NMC_BHARAT. Just observe the disdain and apathy with which it treats us, the minority stakeholders.
Despite being an integral part of medical education for several decades since the 1970s, we are still considered outsiders, with separate rules imposed upon us—each iteration worsening the situation.
Yes, there are many objections. When we request changes from the NMC, we are told the matter is sub judice. However, the NMC exercises the freedom to modify regulations as it pleases, without regard for whether the issue is sub judice.
It is true that the NMC is an autonomous body, but the NMC Act clearly states that the @MoHFW_INDIA remains its governing authority. Despite this, the NMC has the audacity to overrule explicit orders from the ministry and continues to adopt a hostile stance that contradicts the government's position.
While the NMC operates more like a doctors' welfare association, the union government has a responsibility to protect the interests of all stakeholders. Given our lack of faith in the NMC, we implore the ministry to address our concerns directly.
The feedback on the TEQ 2024 draft is being submitted. The NMC has always ignored our feedback—will this time be any different?
It brings pleasure to inform that due to the proactiveness of a concerned group of faculty members, the Karnataka Highcourt has directed NMC & MoHFW to not to implement "MSR 2023 regulations"till further hearing.
@NMMTA_Assn#saveMedicalMSc.
As per Parliamentary report,this is high time, @NMMTA_Assn must advocate strongly & be a flag bearer for a uniform new curriculum for Medical MSc courses across India.
Requesting @NMC_IND to give the course its recognition back. Let's join hands for better medical education.
When @NMC_IND cannot comment or give relief as the MSR 2020 & 2023 is subjudice, I hope @NMC_IND has informed their Assessors to not to bother /harras Medical MSc/PhD faculties during UG & PG inspections.
@PMOIndia ,@MoHFW_INDIA must take cognizance of such cases, if it happens.
हजारों PhD medical को केवल ये कहकर रिजेक्ट किया जा रहा है कि NMC ने पीएचडी वालो को जॉब देने से मना कर दिया है।
हमारा कसूर क्या है
Msc PhD करना?
कोर्ट केवल तारीख देता है
सरकार आश्वाशन देती है
NMC धक्के देती है
@PMOIndia@mansukhmandviya सर अब तो सुन लो हमे
NMC inspections are about to start.We are now at edge of discrimination and in verge of loosing respect.Still NMC and MohFW has not given any clear verdict for prevailing MscPhD pharmacology faculty.Agony is not allowing us to breathe.@NMMTA_Assn@MoHFW_INDIA@PMOIndia
The most significant dishonesty exhibited by the NMC is when it lies through its teeth.
While assuring that the existing faculty won't be affected, it is relentlessly working to the detriment of MSc/PhD teachers by modifying guidelines and releasing disparaging FAQs.
The intent is clear, and the mischief is obvious!
Why can't existing teachers in Pharmacology and Microbiology apply for new jobs or higher posts in other colleges or in other states?
Why has the NMC blocked their rights to pursue better prospects or working conditions elsewhere?
This is the denial of a fundamental right.
Respected @mansukhmandviya sir, NMC hasn't given you the full picture. It is vile and dishonest.
@MoHFW_INDIA@OfficeOf_MM@PMOIndia
When the union government (@MoHFW_INDIA) assures that no harm shall be done, it must stick to it.
Giving assurance in the Parliament is not the same as making empty promises in election rallies.
This association would like to remind the government, especially Shri. @mansukhmandviya ji to safeguard the interests of the minority MSc/PhD teachers and protect them from relentless persecution by the prejudiced NMC.
The blatant act of insubordination by the UG board of NMC to the government's order mustn't go unpunished. A subordinate body mustn't be allowed to make light of a government order.
This association calls for the replacement of the UG board with people who are sensible and unbiased.
@PMOIndia
NMMTA expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (@MoHFW_INDIA ) and the Honorable Minister @mansukhmandviya ji for addressing our concerns with the NMC.
However, we regret to highlight that the NMC has not been forthright with the minister and has bluffed to mislead him.
Please consider the following points:
1. The NMC has blatantly refused to adhere to a clear directive from the Health Ministry, constituting a direct violation of the NMC Act.
2. Edit: After submitting an affidavit in the Delhi High Court that is shall abide by the ministry's direction, NMC backtracked. This clearly indicates its biased and vindictive position.
3. The President of the UG board has been heard disparaging and undermining MSc/PhD teachers during online meetings with heads of medical institutions, which is indicative of a prejudiced mindset.
4. Numerous existing teachers are facing termination, demotion, denial of promotions, exclusion from roles, and are not being considered for re-appointment. They can't relocate or apply for new jobs anywhere. This is the ground reality. Existing teachers are indeed being affected.
5. Existing faculties are being denied examinership due to the discriminating CBME guidelines. Despite court orders and representations, the NMC has neither revised the FAQ nor issued a public notice on this matter.
6. Teachers with MSc/Ph.D. qualifications constitute a minute minority; the majority hold MBBS qualifications. Such feedback would naturally be against the competing MSc/Ph.D. teachers. Relying on feedback from such a skewed system is inherently biased, unscientific, and unethical.
7. Appeals filed in accordance with the NMC Act norms are not being addressed, constituting another violation of the NMC Act.
NMC's conduct towards non-MBBS teachers has been consistently dishonest, prejudiced, and vindictive. It spares no opportunity to belittle and harm this small community of educators.
Edit: The proposed phased reduction of 5% is meaningless. The recent percentage decrease implies that only one person can be appointed, rendering the reduction insignificant. We strongly urge the elimination of percentage-based criteria and advocate for the appointment of medical MSc/Ph.D. teachers whenever qualified medical teachers are unavailable. Let the medical education benefit from both the categories of teachers.
@PMOIndia@OfficeOf_MM
When the regulatory body itself practices academic apartheid as a policy, it emboldens non-clinical medicos to aggressively participate in it at their level.
Our petition has been languishing in the Delhi High Court since 2020, thanks to the dysfunctional judicial system.
The government is more concerned with petty politics than with implementing reforms. We would like to remind the government of its commitment to raj dharm and antyoday.
We can only ask our members to stay hopeful.

📢 Calling for Equity in Research Funding! 📚✨ All funding agencies should prioritize fellowship hikes for JRF scholars across every scheme like #NFSC. Instead, let's also focus on raising the support for NON-NET fellows. Let's unite for a brighter future! 🤝💡@ugc_india #NonNetFellowshipHike @Ugc_india No more discrimination in fellowships!
Section 45(2) of the NMC Act explicitly states,
"the decision of the Central Government whether a question is one of policy or not
shall be final," the NMC has audaciously disregarded the explicit orders of the
government. This disregard not only violates the Act but also signifies a concerning
insubordination towards the government's directives, setting a troubling precedent
that must not be taken lightly. While the NMC disobeys the union government with impunity and fearlessness, the latter stands humbled as a mute spectator.
No faculties: Accepted
Ghost faculties: Accepted
0 percentile faculties: Accepted
Medical MSc& PhD faculties: NOT ACCEPTED.
@MoHFW_INDIA : Mute spectators
@PMOIndia : Mute spectators
@ugc_india : Mute spectators
In the meanwhile Medical MSc/PhD faculties are being sacrificed.
When we said the same thing, it was ignored, now?
@IMAIndiaOrg why double standards about quality? Present officers advocated dilution of quality in the name of NEET PG cut off.
@MoHFW_INDIA , you will find that all our submissions are true.
