@BanerjiSougata@Mads00108 On that note, watched 'Kamla ki maut' yesterday on Amazon Prime. Such a simple film, but something shakes you from the inside!
Very similar to 'থানা থেকে আসছি', another great film!
@BanerjiSougata@Mads00108 After I watched this film, I truly understood Ray's thought about cinema...that it has to be simple enough to touch every heart!
This tweet reminded me of a nice little incident. I recently enrolled myself for strength training under a 25-year old trainer and the first thing I told him is that I am on the wrong side of 50 and whenever I ask to stop, he has to stop, as I don't intend to die in the gym!
Then one day he showed me picture of his mom, who is 48; and told...ma'am, from the time I have started training you, I'm trying to inspire my mom also to start strength training.
And that filled up my heart with contentment!
But as far as I know, both Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ existed in flesh and blood in real world, whereas entire Ramayana and Mahabharata are mythological stories. They might have been influenced by some powerful kings during that time, but they are nothing but fertile imaginations of their authors.
Just finished Raakh and was bowled over by Aakash Makhija's performance as Babu. Amazingly fear-inducing performance!
But then, why does every crime thriller made on Indian OTT have to be a professional crisis for the protagonist police officer? Why does it have to be that one job on which their career depend..and halfway through it there is invariably an order coming from the police top brass or the Minister to change the investigating officer overnight? 🤔
Also, found out this very interesting distribution of fees amongst the Raakh cast...from the internet. I hv no clue abt the authenticity of these numbers; but if true, seems quite interesting!
