Servers can block other servers, but that’s unlikely to happen unless they’re extremely problematic.

@scuffndings You also have the option to always show sensitive images (if you want nsfw to be visible for example)

And you can use filters to completely hide CWs that you’d rather not see. I think having a community that uses CWs liberally is better because it puts more power in your hands.

75 visible to 13 marked sensitive. Half of those marked sensitive were from the yiff server.

I’ve found mastodon to be pretty great actually and because warnings are labeled it makes understanding a feed easier.

@doevember I later learned there were other furry servers, but I haven’t looked into any of them yet.

My goal is mainly to test out Mastodon and consider how ready it is for mass adoption, so I intentionally only considered the options that showed up in the official app by default.

Their TOS seems ok, but I’m not a fan of the domain. It’s too long and weird sounding. I may switch servers later just to see how that experience goes. But it was the only furry server that showed up on the main site.

The whole Twitter verification meme thing has successfully made me skeptical of tweets with ✅’s. I don’t have time to check, so I just scroll past.

@ShanRattie Twitter has had a huge impact on the visibility and acceptance of LGBTIQA+ people (and furries) because it increased visibility and broke us out from nice services and websites. Mastodon I worry is too easy to mass block communities which will just cause more echo chambers.
