My dearest Abigail,
The Free Balogun campaign has succeeded.
After many hard marches through red tape, federation fog, and the cold stone walls of FIFA jail, young Balogun is at last liberated and marches under our colors.
The lads now ride for the Round of 16. One more victory, and they shall breach the quarterfinal frontier, a land our nation’s men have never conquered.
Tonight we feast on victory, orange slices, and dangerous levels of belief.
Yours in liberty,
Capt. Ream 🇺🇸⚽️
@DuckieLouise On an interstate, sure. On streets with stoplights every 20 ft, driving 5-10 miles over can save you 10-15 min if you catch the green lights. I have a store I frequent thats 2.5 miles away. Depending on how you catch the lights, its between 5 min and 15+ min away.
I get the sentiment, but hot take, how many of those d2 purchasers wouldn't have purchased if they hadn't pirated and got hooked on d1?
I feel the same way about 90's adobe products. Morals aside, there's a business reason to accept a certain amount of piracy because it spreads your software. The difficult thing is finding the balance.
@muslimlebron Hot take, left lane should be the express lane, which is suitable for passing, and right lanes should be focused on ingress/egress. This idea that no one should ever be on the left lane is an absurd waste of bandwidth.
We had a specific (used) minivan we wanted. Found one local at a dealership. Called. Talked to a sales lady. She was all excited until we told her when we were available (that evening or something).
"Well, I'm going on vacation, can you come in a few days?".
Will you hold the car for a few days so it doesn't sell?
"No, we cant do that"
Well, you should go enjoy your vacation, but we're not going to risk losing this van, so were coming tonight to buy it from somebody.
She figured out how to make it work.
@Mr_Neutral_Man Uncooked ribs are like $5-6/lb, retail. Cooking ribs is not labor intensive. They were probably the most expensive thing on the bar too
@PrestonGolson@EinSchwarzwelt The US is never going to out-finesse elite teams. Absurd conditioning, tight defense, and constant blitzkrieg attacks are what it would take for the US to win.
Yeah, but I know 5-10 people making in the low to high 100's that basically just make up work for each other and others, and there's no ROI on it. They make up work so they can show they managed some work so they can show their boss, and as long as the business turns a profit, no one bothers asking questions. Thats what happens in big business every day. You could fire 1/3rd of the workforce and not lose a beat in the business - but the economic effect would be detrimental. Basically a large population is employed because the money is there to spend and its a net benefit to the company not because of the work they directly produce, but because if everyone does it, everyone has income to spend and that benefits everyone
