To maximize the benefits of anti-bullying interventions on internalizing symptoms, there is a need to consistently select & measure outcomes, adequately power studies to detect clinically significant changes in symptoms, and use evidence-based components.
Interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) components had smaller effects in reducing internalizing symptoms than interventions which did not use CBT components. This emphasis the need to re-evaluate how CBT is employed in anti-bullying interventions.
