@rpondiscio@Jordan_C_Adams Sometimes the best teaching doesn’t yield immediate results. For example spending a lot of time on vocabulary might not payoff in the short term, but good teachers see the bigger picture. Merit pay will just increase teaching to the test.

@DTWillingham An ideal classroom setting would include both ideas from romanticism and enlightenment ideas. Kids need to both read widely and deeply at the current levels and also grapple with complex texts.
