if you knew how tough it was, and how long it took some people to recover their mental health, and happiness again, you'd understand why they shut their doors at the slightest sniff of toxicity, and also why they're picky af about who they allow in their lives.
Feeling good about yourself attracts better and greater to you. Get your inner world in order. Balance your emotions. Get clear mentally. Let the past go. Make peace with everything so you can allow yourself to transcend limiting draining thoughts. Declare change over your life.
Three days ago, a 15-yr old boy had an anxiety attack in the school bathroom to hide from his bullies and struggling grades.
His “guidance” counselor pulled him into a room alone and told him to power thru and stop saying he was suicidal for attention even tho he was crying so hard the capillaries in his face were broken. Fun fact: the boy has never been in trouble nor has said this before.
The boy is now in the hospital an hour away from his family due to a real attempt to leave this world.
Because the school would not listen all year nor accommodate his mother’s requests for help and a 504 plan, he felt he had no hope and could not face another day.
The boy is my son. And I’m so angry at the GC in his school I’m frozen. They’re now complying to help with classes and gave him a new counselor.
These new accommodations are not enough. Our story isn’t rare. Schools need to wake up and make some real changes.
Don't expect peace from people who are at war with themselves. Don't expect honesty from people who lie to themselves. Don't expect loyalty from people who betray themselves. They can't give you what they can't give themselves. See them as they are, not who you wish them to be.
If a person creates space between us, I just let them be.. if they never come to me & explain what the issue is, we’ll probably never talk again because I really just let people be. I’m fine with losing anyone who’s ok with losing me. I fought too hard for a lot of relationships.
My growth came when I realized I didn't wanna be a "nice" person anymore. Nice got me: stressed, disrespected and used. I'm a kind person. I'm an authentic person. There's a difference.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Great things are coming my way.
Drone video shows the mess that I-5 northbound was near the 217 interchange Thursday morning as a winter storm brought record snow to the Portland metro area.
Because trauma is stored within our bodies, we can’t reason or talk our way out of it. Intentionally creating space for our body to feel safe each day is a key part of self care.
