Youโre a moron. Not only did the Dodgersโ star power help them lead the majors in road attendance the past two seasons, but in that time they also paid $272.4 million in luxury tax, including a record $169.4 million in 2025. Thatโs on top of the estimated $150 million per season they contribute in revenue sharing. Per The Athleticโs Evan Drellich, that money is essentially split between the league and players, with half going to the clubs in some form, the other half to player retirement funds. How is that not โgoodโ?
@ohheythisisjay@90syankskid This is 100% correct. And thereโs no comparison. The Yankees didnโt have anyone close to Ohtani, Kershaw, Betts, Yamamoto or Freeman. Apples to apples the Dodgers are far superior.
@DevineGospel Manny, Tatis ๐, Darvish, and Co all knew PS was going to pass & they couldnโt play with enough heart to win a WS. No chance it happens now.
@Sam_Phalen@RileyMcAtee The Marlins actually made more money than the Dodgers last year. They spend less on payroll. They could easily spend more to be competitive but their owner chooses not to.
@SteveBurrito8@SleeperAstros Youโre completely right. Enough people in the Dodgers organization have said as much. Thereโs zero remorse from Astros fans so as well so F the Astros. We deserve to rub it in while Houstonians bake in the humidity of their shit, soulless, cultural desert of a city.
@RobertSportsBet@DevineGospel Youโre 100% correct. PS let the whole team know he was dying & they couldnโt get it together to honor him with a WS. Not going to happen now.
