The CAP is a true common policy, a policy of solidarity, and an anchor of European food security.
This policy will continue to be a cornerstone of EU funding 👇
Poland shows what generational renewal can look like: more than 1/5 farmers are under 40.
Europe needs more success stories like this.
In Warsaw 🇵🇱 today, with @EIB , we focused on one priority: helping more young farmers access finance so they can invest, innovate & grow 🌱🇪🇺

We are also proposing more flexible CAP support to improve farmers’ cash flow and provide greater certainty.
Now is the time to choose food security, strategic autonomy and competitiveness.
I count on co-legislators to move swiftly.

Harvests need farmers. Farmers need fertilisers.
I propose €540 million in EU support for farmers hit by ↗️ fertiliser costs — possibly rising to €1.5 billion with national co-financing.
Europe will always back those who feed us.

Today,I joined G7 Agriculture Ministers to discuss the impact of geopolitical tensions on fertiliser markets & global food security.
We must keep food supply chains functioning,↗️ market transparency & support farmers facing rising input costs.
International cooperation is key
Thank you @EP_President for the interesting exchange on our CAP proposals to support farmers in the short & long term.
We agree that the CAP should continue to effectively support EU farmers, strengthen competitiveness & contribute to a resilient & sustainable agri-food sector
Good discussions at the @FORESTEUROPE Ministerial Conference in Stockholm 🇸🇪
As pressures on our forests grow, we need policies that recognise the role of active forest management 🌳 as an important part of many farm businesses, supporting rural incomes & Europe’s bioeconomy 👩🌾
Just toured Lantmännen’s biorefinery and cooperative in 🇸🇪, where
🌾 Grain is transformed into food, feed and renewable fuel
♻️ Residues become biogas and bio-fertilisers
↪️ More value for farmers, lower emissions 🚜 A great example of the bioeconomy at work
Day 2 in 🇹🇭 at the largest food fair in Asia celebrating what connects us: a shared appreciation for quality food, strong traditions & trusted products 🤝

They protect local traditions & know-how, creating real value on the ground.
🌎 Stronger global recognition, including through the Geneva Act, is key
I’m looking forward to visiting Mexico soon together with EU agri-food businesses to open new export opportunities, build business connections and bring the very best of Europe’s food & drinks to Mexican tables
¡Hasta pronto 🇲🇽!
