Wow! It's been so long since I've posted but so much has happened, including my most recent accomplishment: FIRST PLACE! In a Writer's Digest Competition :)
With work, graduate school, art, and my next writing project, things are a bit crazy. But I need to enjoy this moment.
Some old materials I am working with as part of an archival Practicum. Back in the early 1900s, these are what commencement ceremony cards looked like. Each person who was a part of your class exchanged personalized cards with their names on them.
@Sir_RoyalSavage@TBori69@Purify_toast17 Africans didn't even know about slavery in the sense if racism until they were introduced to the concept when Europe needed an upper class to negotiate trade with. Research "the apartheid"
I needed a break from social media. So much has happened over the holidays--good and bad. Things have just been crazy but I'm ready to pull out of this rut and get back to the daily grind. Luckily I have a very strong support system and a library card.
Movies such as "Fall," "Open Water," "127 hours," and "Frozen" place the characters in one, self-contained location where they face the elements to survive. Is there a name for that genre?
@TarrantCountyTX Been at voting location 2401 for over an hour. Was the second one here and technical issues have made us wait over an hour to vote. Couldn't leave because I was already scanned in. Hope things are better for everyone else #vote
PS: Still stuck here...
@DragonFireIdeas Agreed. The fact that everyone likes something different is a good thing. Means they've entertained many different demographics to keep everyone engaged. Good for them!
@DragonFireIdeas There were some funny parts with KEVIN but it most certainly took me out of the show, which was going so well it didn't need the "extra." But I'm also learning that this show is a hit or a miss with most people.
