@ThrimbyFarms Have you checked/changed your knives and paddle rubbers on your Keenan. We were taking longer and longer to process straw through ours. Changed the knives and rubbers and now smashes it very efficiently.
@duffy1972 Yes but done on a per head basis rightly or wrongly rather than per kg DLWG. For us it seems to be better to do it per head as the number housed fluctuates more than DLWG. It’s also an economy of scale thing. The more you have the more there are to divide the costs over.
@mendipfarmer Too much uncertainty in the trade support high prices of animals that require a long time on farm. That calf will have months and months of feeding ahead of it with no guarantee of what it is worth at the end.
After around 250,000 weighting’s in the last 11 years we have replaced our Bateman squeeze crush….with a new Bateman Squeeze crush! Loads of subtle design improvements making it even better to operate! Here’s to the next 250,000 cattle weighing!! #bateman#molevalley#finishing
I’m asking the question of @RishiSunak and @trussliz - who will be the PM to Back British Farming? It’s high time government took food seriously; UK Food Security should matter just as much as Energy Security. Please RT 🐄🐑🥕🌾 https://t.co/XSmHA6ExkH
Very Honoured to win this and a great fun evening for a very important cause. Well done to all those involved and to my team at Greendale for their continued hard work to make this happen!
