Butting in and giving a slightly deeper explanation because many ppl understandably don't understand why x86 can't just copy M1 here:

On ARM every instruction is 4bytes long, nice consistent and easy. Decode an instruction every 4 bytes, they should all be valid instructions

As someone that is an enthusiast not in this field is it because X86 has variable instruction length that makes implementing a wider decoder much more difficult?

@TicTacTOmar No idea why he agreed to this, the cap is shooting up. He was a year from UFA and had two terrific seasons in a row.

@chiakokhua Product for marketing reasons. The foundry doesn't need the Intel brand name, it's inconsequential. The products benefit substantially from a very recognizable brand consumers are familiar with.

Of course the model likes it's own suggestions, that goes without saying.

The test should be based upon what they do in the NHL, which for most of them has yet to be determined.
