In appointing the 24 Chief Officers before you, I have tried to assemble a team that reflects the diversity of Marsabit as much as possible.
But I went beyond diversity to make historical appointments from 4 of the most marginalized communities in Marsabit.

In the new team, we have a Chief Officer from Dasanach who was among the 4 Chief Officers reappointed. We have a Chief Officer from Turkana, Konso & the corner tribe respectively.

President @WilliamsRuto has nominated Noordin Haji as the next Director General of the National Intelligence Service.

If considered by Parliament, Mr Haji will succeed Philip Kameru who is due for retirement.

Mr Kameru has been at the helm of the intelligence agency since September 2014.

What is it about some Politicians from Central Kenya forming a habit showing anger and intolerance to other communities in this country particularly from the ASALs and Northern Kenya. It has become a common occurrence by few leaders from Central Kenya attacking the people of Northern Kenya and their leaders. What are the motives that is driving this xenophobic and deep-rooted hatred? . One is left to wonder what is the source of their Obsession with shared revenue when Regions have remained economically isolated for over 50 years and have never expressed similar anger towards central Kenya where most resources were going?. You can not threaten the people of Northern Kenya. No body is anybody’s guest in this country we must learn to tolerate one another or Risk to perish as a country.
