At the end of today’s General Audience, Pope Leo XIV mourned the death of Fr. Pierre El-Rahi, the Maronite parish priest killed in southern Lebanon while trying to help parishioners wounded in an attack, and renewed his appeal for peace in Iran and across the Middle East, especially for innocent civilians and children suffering the consequences of war.
