This is from Environment Canada's new report on climate impacts.
This report was quietly released today, with the minister not available for comment.
This should be required reading for everyone in Canada.
The climate crisis is here. Every action we take matters.
The biggest heartbreak has been watching us sail right past the point of no return for catastrophic climate change without even slowing down.
We didn't even really try.
Our taxpayer dollars are being spent at an American company (in the middle of a trade war) that offers better deals to folks walking in off the street than to teachers ordering through the Ontario Ministry of Education portal. Make it make sense!!! #OntEd
We’ve already reached the ridiculous point where teachers are expected to shop for their own classroom supplies.
But wait - it gets better.
They can’t even walk into Staples and get the cheaper deals. They have to use the Ford government’s mandatory portal and pay more.
Teachers shop. Taxpayers pay. Staples wins. 🙃 #onpoli #onted
🚨 THIS MAN ASKED ONE SIMPLE QUESTION AND EXPOSED THE CAR INDUSTRY’S BIGGEST LIE
A guy just asked the question every driver has thought but never said out loud.
In 2026 our cars are packed with giant digital screens and computers that can throw detailed codes the second something goes wrong.
Yet when the check engine light comes on, the display still just says… check engine.
No explanation.
No “O2 sensor.”
No “loose gas cap.”
Nothing.
You still have to drive to a mechanic or dealership, pay them, and let their special machine read the exact same computer that is already inside your car.
He wants someone to explain why the information is deliberately hidden when the technology to show it has existed for years.
Is this pure customer unfriendly design… or are manufacturers still protecting the service departments on purpose?
We asked to start bargaining early - the Ford govt refused. Now, we learn they had an attack ad ready by July 10, after offering us only 3 days to meet.
We love to teach. We care about our students. Cheap tactics won't stop us from protecting #OntEd at the bargaining table.
