Our Chargers can’t get enough of “My Weird School” @DanGutmanBooks ! Thanks to @room97firsts sharing this book as a read aloud starring AJ and friends, every week they check out every copy we have of “naughty AJ” @chenowethes
I am grateful for
Kids who share their love of reading with me like this 30th Anniversary edition of Hatchet! We’ve had an ongoing conversation since last school year and he was so excited to tell me he had his very own copy 🩷 what a beautiful book it is @chenowethes@JCPS_LMS
On November 14, 1960, 6-year-old #RubyBridges bravely walked into William Frantz Elementary School, becoming the first Black student to integrate the school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Surrounded by federal marshals, Ruby faced immense hostility, yet her courage and resilience made her a powerful symbol in the fight for racial equality.
Today, we honor Ruby Bridges’ strength and the incredible impact of her bravery, which helped pave the way for integration and justice in education. Her story reminds us that even the youngest among us can be powerful agents of change.

I am grateful for- The brave sharing of 5th graders and how they connect with Castle. Resiliency for all of the invisible things they carry.
That I am trusted enough to be part of the conversation.
For authors and stories “I can feel seen in”. @chenowethes@JasonReynolds83
