When a friend pokes fun at you, it's often YOUR response that determines if the people around you see it as playful banter or a joke at your expense.
So unless it’s something you think was really inappropriate, try laughing along or even doubling down on the joke :-)
If you want to get people interested in what you're saying...
Try showing your palms and gesturing with your hands.
Because when you hide your palms, it sends a subconscious signal that you're hiding something...
Your eye contact can make or break how groups perceive you.
Instead of looking down or away, or awkwardly staring at 1 person...
Move your gaze around the group to each person. Every ~3 seconds or so, shift to the next person.
