One of the biggest surprises to me when I was in Anatomy & Physiology is how high up out organs are.
When we have a stomach ache it's more of an intestine ache cause your stomach is basically under you lungs.
Of course now we know phrenology, the study of skull contours, isn't accurate. But in the Victorian era it was taken very seriously.
Part of this reason was because it helped justify racism and gender stereotypes, but it was loosely grounded on the reality of brain localization
