Imagine your first born was raised and sent off to thrive in college. And then suddenly is never seen again after a night out with her “friends”. What would you do? Without her and more horrifying, without answers for 12 years. A complete nightmare you can’t imagine. #findLauren
Tonight, almost 12 years ago, Lauren went out with people who she considered friends. She never returned home. A life taken too soon. And those that know, still live free. What do you think happened on that night? #findLauren
When Lauren went missing, I was just a young professional running social media for an agency. My brother & sister were IU students. I had to help. So I started this Twitter & then met and fell in love with the Spierer family. Still close friends now. My 💓. They deserve to know.
Kristin Smart was missing for more years than she was alive before partygoers talked. Feels very familiar to those w/Lauren the night of she went missing. Now the last one w/Kristin is on trial for murder. Said although intoxicated, she walked away alone. Hmm. Familiar again.
Daily press conferences in Bloomington. The Spierer family begged for the truth. Anything small could be big. Someone had to see something. Someone had to know. #FindLauren#10YearsLater
And we never forgot about Lauren. We thought about our daughters. Our young friend's at college. Maybe even the choices we had made in college. We thought about our small towns differently. We thought about a young girl and a family that lost everything in one night. #FindLauren
For most of us, it seems wild that 10 years has passed. But for everyone that loved Lauren, every day hasn't passed quickly or without pain. If we can't give them a life with Lauren, we must give them the truth they deserve to know. We do know someone knows the truth.
Lauren left her apartment with a group of friends this evening 10 years ago. Her picture was taken walking down the hall. Although the picture wasn’t clear, her smile was. She thought it was another evening out with her friends in college. She was wrong. #FindLauren#10YearsLater
There’s not a day that passes where I don’t think about the Spierer family. I’ll do whatever I can for however long it takes to get justice for Lauren.
Thank you for the interview + support @JennieWTHR. https://t.co/eR8cUR7cWN
For those that know what happened to Lauren, do you think about her? What’s your life like now? Does it haunt you? Do you think about her at night when falling asleep? What about when you are alone in the car? Does your wife know? What will your kids think when they find out?
@NYGovCuomo Why open up for 65+ for COVID-19 vaccine when there are no appointments available? Is it a supply issue? We were unable to find one place where we could schedule an appointment after spending hours searching.
Lauren would be 28 today. 8th year without answers....8th birthday without Lauren. #FindLauren@NewsOnLaurenS . Hoping today is the day. https://t.co/RMF5En2SSp
