Time passes, but the need to call Dad never does. Let’s celebrate the dads who shaped us—today and always, not just on Father’s Day.
Did your dad shape you in a positive way or in a way that made you determined to change it for your children?
My dad shaped me into the strong woman I am today. I’m definitely my father’s daughter. I miss calling you, Dad, for advice. I know you sent angels to me who are exactly like you. ♥️
Liberals won’t ever erase good men. They are seared into our hearts and make a huge difference. ♥️🔥
🕊️ Prayer isn't just for emergencies...
It's the lifeline of every believer.
James 5:13 NIV
"Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray.
Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise."
What situation in your life do you need to bring to God in prayer today?✨
Diana Sanchez was in the Denver jail on a non-violent theft charge when she went into labor in 2018. Staff ignored her pleas for hours. She gave birth on a cold bench near a toilet. Denver settled her lawsuit for $480K
Settlement outcome: $320K from Denver Health + $160K from the city with no admission of wrongdoing. Annual mandatory training for medical staff on pregnant inmates. Policy change: Pregnant inmates in labor are immediately transported to the hospital.
Was this settlement fair or not?
🕊️ This might be the promise from God you needed to see today...
Psalm 91:14 NIV
"Because He loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for He acknowledges my name."
1. Love comes first.
God begins with the heart. The verse does not say because he is perfect, or because he is strong. It says because he loves me. A genuine love for God creates a relationship where trust, faith, and obedience grow naturally.
2. God's promise of rescue.
God promises to rescue those who cling to Him. This doesn't mean life will never have trouble, but it means God is always present to deliver, guide, and sustain us through every trial.
3. Acknowledging His Name.
To acknowledge God's name means to know Him, trust Him, and honor Him openly. When we recognize God is our refuge and Savior, we place ourselves under His protection and care.
Life application:
When you love God and call on His Name, you are never facing life alone. His protection surrounds those who trust Him.
What is one way you can acknowledge God in your life today?
Goodnight, everyone.
Hope you have a restful and peaceful evening.🙏🕊️
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Psalms 55:22 (KJV) 🫶
And just when all hope seemed lost
Love opened the door for us
He said, "Come to the table
Come join the sinners who have been redeemed"
Take your place beside the Savior
Sit down and be set free
Come to the table
Daily Prayer for June 7
Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt
"Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God"Psalm 90:1–2).
Lord our God, our refuge forever, bless us who have gathered in your presence and who turn to you in all distress, not only in our personal need but also in the distress of the nations and peoples of the whole world. Grant that we may be your children, with a simple faith that gives us strength to go on working even when life is bitterly hard. We thank you for giving us so much grace, for helping us and never forsaking us, so that again and again we can find joy and can glorify and praise you, our Father. May your name be praised from heaven above and among us here below. May your name be praised by all people throughout the world, and may everyone on earth acknowledge you and receive all that they need from you. Amen.
Good morning, friends.
Have a blessed and beautiful day.🙏🇺🇸☀️
“But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”
Psalms 86:15 (KJV) 👑
This final verse is one of the clearest statements of the Trinitarian nature of God in the New Testament. It is one of the great mysteries of our faith and one that is a stumbling block to many. How can we even try to understand its meaning? Maybe it's not important to try and understand, but to reflect on its importance in our lives. God is Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a community of love. When I was young, I was taught that the work of the Father was creation, the Son, salvation and the Holy Spirit, sanctification. So, within the Trinity there are distinctions and yet unity. Paul states very clearly that there is one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of us all. He also lets us know that there are distinct roles that each of us plays but we are called to be one in love for all. We are one family, all calling God, Father; we are saved by the actions of the Son who became one of us so that we could be "joint heirs with Christ" and filled with the Holy Spirit so that we may go forth and tell others of this great mystery. The early Christians were well known for the love that they showed one another. I often try to imagine what the world would look like if all Christians came together in a single body of love as Jesus prayed that we would be. What a difference we could make! Today is a great day to decide to become an example of the great Community of Love that is the Trinity.
Dear God, I pray that I will never become the type of person who takes delight in pointing out people's flaws. I know that I have my own things I need to deal with and I will never compare my problems with someone else's problems. I pray that I may be loving in times where I need to correct someone, always remembering that no one is perfect and we are all overcoming issues in our lives. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
