BREAKING: Noncitizen Palestinian activist and Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi is now facing ICE deportation after a federal immigration appeals board overturned the lower-court judge who had shielded him.

Mahdawi, a green-card holder heavily involved in pro-Palestinian campus protests, had been protected by an immigration judge who blocked the government's removal efforts.

That protection has been reversed. Deportation proceedings have been reinstated, and he is once again in the government's sights for removal.
