@Mappy6984 As a contractor, for any residential work you should be filing a lien BEFORE the work starts so you are ahead of any other liens. Only release the lien upon full payment. If really concerned, demand they post a bond first.

Immediately let them know you'll sign the lien quitclaim as soon as the bill is paid. Hire an attorney and Immediately sue. Don't plant games or argue and absolutely do not damage the work.
@i2cjak People need to learn some engineering. They are clueless about how little water these data centers actually use. "Water use" is a red herring, the real problems are power, noise, and corrupt politicians giving tax exemptions and allow them to do what ever they want.
