Archibald Brown’s closing words at Charles Spurgeon’s funeral:
“Beloved President, Faithful Pastor, Prince of Preachers, Brother Beloved,
“Dear Spurgeon, we bid thee not ‘farewell,’ but only a little while ‘good night.’
“Hard worker in the field, thy toil is ended! Champion of God, thy battle long and nobly fought is over!”

I want to make two broader points here, and then I'm out for the weekend. These are for those who we might call "G3 family," i.e., you've been to conferences, you've appreciated our stuff, and you're wondering, "Man, why have these guys taken a left turn on the CN stuff?"
I'd urge you to pause for a moment and just consider if maybe we're opposing CN because we're actually seeing similar problems to other issues we've stood against in the past. I'm not saying just blindly believe us, but if you've agreed when we opposed other things like wokeism, and you've seen that we have core values driving what we oppose, maybe stop and listen instead of immediately reacting. And please just stop with the dumb, ad hominem, "G3 is just as bad as Russell Moore and TGC" garbage. Come on—you know us better than that.
I promise you, our core convictions have not changed one iota from when we loudly opposed wokeism and covidism.
Remember, for example, a few years back when Josh Buice started pointing out the problems with CRT/I and the ways it was infiltrating evangelicalism, and all the loudest voices said, "Oh, he's just seeing boogymen." Well, was he right?
Again, not saying you have to agree, and maybe we're wrong, but give us at least the benefit of the doubt that we're principled men, and consider what we've consistently stood for and against through the years.
Which leads to my second point ...
@TomBuck The issues are tertiary to them, but of much greater importance to us. And why? Because we don’t just give lip service to Scripture’s authority. We believe it.
Grateful for @ScottAniol’s clarity and willingness to write on this subject. I hope those who disagree will charitably engage for the benefit of us all.
Christian Nationalism has been tried before, and every time it was tried, it failed.
As promised, here is my first articulation of why I oppose Christian Nationalism.
Happy to clarify and answer questions below. I will not respond to alias accounts.
