No state has the moral right to accumulate debt by creating money out of nothing, knowing it will never be repaid, thereby stealing the prosperity and future of coming generations.

Yet today’s fiat money system makes exactly this possible: money is created out of nothing, debt is expanded, and the real costs are pushed into the future.
What appears as growth and stability in the short term ultimately reveals itself as a slow, creeping expropriation.
Inflation, loss of purchasing power, and structural imbalances do not affect those who make the decisions, but rather those who come after.
Fiat money makes it possible to postpone responsibility, but debt does not disappear...it merely shifts from one generation to the next....

A system (#EU) intent on securing power fears nothing more than people who refuse to be controlled.
Tyrants never fear obedient citizens,
they fear sovereign individuals who think for themselves, make their own decisions, and refuse to submit.
If digital fiat money means absolute control of the state over the individual, #Bitcoin means absolute control of the individual over their own money.

@qpostintel@Sara1051579 You simply don’t understand that, in this story, you’re the Neanderthal and you’re about to be replaced by modern humans.
Go ahead and stick with your shiny stones. 😂
That argument is valid! Gold was never meant to be convenient.
Its difficulty to produce and move is precisely what enforced monetary discipline. In that sense, gold worked not despite its friction, but because of it.
The question, however, is whether physical friction is still the only or best way to enforce discipline in a digital world. Bitcoin does not reject hardness; it abstracts it. The costliness of production, the impossibility of arbitrary creation, and the absence of central discretion are preserved...but enforced by cryptography and energy rather than by mass and metallurgy.
Bitcoin is not trying to be a better payment app; it is trying to be a harder rule-set.
One that is harder to bend politically, easier to audit, and globally verifiable in real time.
Gold is not obsolete...just as physical property did not disappear with email. But the monetary role that once required physical resistance can now be achieved digitally, without sacrificing credibility.
In that sense, Bitcoin doesn’t negate gold’s purpose. It inherits it...and removes the parts that history repeatedly exploited.
