This Thursday I’m playing 100 holes of golf as part of this years Big Golf Race to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. Any donations would be greatly appreciated! ➡️ https://t.co/nN9l1icuG5
We're looking for a new Programme Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference to the educational outcomes of young people across Yorkshire, at the helm of our flagship Reach Higher Programme.

@NCG_com It’s a good reminder at the start of the season for Handicap Committees to let WHS do its job and not rush to cut players if they have an odd great round.
🔍 Evidence continues to demonstrate that exercise for people with cancer can save lives.
@ActiveTogether0 has supported hundreds of people to date, and is due to be rolled out to other areas of Yorkshire later this year.

📰New research shows that offering stop smoking support alongside the national lung screening programme has the potential to save lives.
Evidence from @YESSstudy demonstrates people are likely to take up the offer of support and quit smoking as a result.

Big news! Over 1000 people have now taken part in Active Together 🥳
This is extremely exciting news and we are working hard to expand the service across Yorkshire so more people are able to take part and to drive forward understanding of exercise as a treatment for cancer.
Today marks 10 years of improving access to higher education and educational outcomes for young people across the North. To date, 492 people have participated in our Reach Higher Programme. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey. Here’s to the next ten years!
Our tenth and final landmark moment in Linacre’s 10 years is our move from @TrinityHallCamb to @stjohnscam for the 2024 Stepping Stones summer school. For the first time, the entire summer school will be kindly hosted by St John’s - we can’t wait to be there this August!
Our next Linacre landmark was in 2022 when the Reach Higher cohort grew to 100 students for the first time. From just 14 students in 2014, the growth of Linacre has enabled us to support more and more students to reach their full potential at leading universities.
Second in our Linacre landmarks series is the launching of the first Reach Higher programme. 14 students joined us for the first Reach Higher programme back in 2014, visiting @wschool and @TrinityHallCamb throughout the year.
Led by Paul Coupar-Hennessy, the Linacre Institute was founded on 23 April 2014 with our mission to improve the representation of northern state-school students at Oxford, Cambridge, and other top UK universities.
On April 23rd, the Linacre Institute celebrates its 10th birthday! We’ve come a long way over the last 10 years, so to celebrate we’re taking a look back at 10 landmark Linacre moments since 2014.
Our first Linacre landmark is of course the founding of the charity.
It's not uncommon for members to EXPECT a discount on food and beverages at their golf club 🍽️ 🍻
Receiving the discount could have a bigger impact than you might think.

With funding for stop smoking services set to double in 2024, we are calling for more investment in awareness campaigns that clearly direct people to local professional support.

WHS is about simplifying the system – but different course ratings for men and women only achieve the opposite, writes @DanMurphyGolf.

@NCG_com Mathematically, I get it, but practically… no! It doesn’t stop the bandits who either don’t put cards in or put in bad cards to manipulate this load of malarkey!!’
