Tracy Edwards almost became Jeffrey Dahmer's 18th victim.

On July 22, 1991, he ran out of Dahmer's apartment with a handcuff still hanging off one wrist. He was the only one who ever walked out.

In the video below, Tracy tells the court what happened, with Dahmer sitting a few feet away.

Dahmer offered him $100 to pose for some photos. In the apartment he got Tracy to look at the fish tank. When he turned back, there was a cuff on his wrist and a knife at his ribs.

So Tracy kept him talking. For hours. He watched The Exorcist with him while Dahmer rocked back and forth, and kept telling him he was his friend.

When Dahmer finally zoned out, Tracy thought "at least I'm going to die trying," hit him and ran.

He brought the police back. Dahmer was arrested that night.

In 1992, Rita Isbell stood up in court a few feet from Jeffrey Dahmer, the man who killed her little brother. Then she lost it.

In the video below, first another victim's mother says goodbye to her deaf son the way he taught her. Two fingers and one thumb. Then Rita walks up and says she doesn't even need a microphone.

Her brother Errol Lindsey was 19 when Dahmer killed him in 1991.

She called him Satan. "Jeffrey, I hate you." Then she went for him, and deputies had to pull her back. Dahmer didn't move.

Minutes later he read his own statement: "I never wanted freedom. Frankly, I wanted death for myself."

He got 15 life sentences.

30 years later, Netflix recreated her outburst almost word for word in Monster. Nobody asked her first. She said watching it was like living it all over again.

Was Netflix wrong to put her worst day on screen without asking her?
