I do not argue atheism with people.
"Give me an intellectual reason why you dont believe in god"
Because I just dont believe. It doesnt need to be complicated. There is nothing more to it. I do not waste time arguing why Optimus Prime or Barney are fiction.
Leave me alone.
Didn't realise that it's because of my painted toenails that made this guy think I'm gay and has been behaving like a snake all around me at the beach today.
Toes wey na my daughter paint and I totally forgot to clean it off before heading outside... 😂
Ogbeni even called me "babes". Me, Papa Ada, babes?
Leave all the “aspire to acquire” and Maguire gimmicks. There is nothing as hard as starting all over again, especially after you have given everything in you.
Whether it is a relationship where you loved someone with every fibre of your being and they broke you, a business you poured everything into, or any other life endeavour where you genuinely emptied yourself, gave it your all, and somehow still found yourself failing.
People will easily tell you to pick yourself up and try again. Keep going. But damn, it is hard.
There is a particular kind of despair that comes with knowing you gave everything you had and it still wasn’t enough. You become depressed. You stare at your life and don’t even know where to begin again. The thought of rebuilding everything you just lost is exhausting.
And the scariest part? You can do it all over again, give it everything again, and still fail.
Scary stuff, to be honest.
Nobody was FINE in the middle centuries. NOBODY had it easy.
Men came home with ONE LEG. Black lungs choking from coal mines. Half a face melted off.
Hands cut off in factories. PTSD so bad they couldn't sleep for YEARS. Some were Broke, Starving. Depressed and Sleeping in the streets.
And they DIDN'T COMPLAIN. They went back to work and DIED for their families.
Your oppression? Your ONLY duty was CHILDREN and you had a HOME, FOOD, SHELTER, PROTECTION given to you on a platter by a man who would die tomorrow in a hole.
Men and women SURVIVED because they were TOUGH. They ADAPTED. They were RESILIENT. Women back then had postpartum, lost 3 kids, buried husbands,
worked fields pregnant, and STILL raised warriors, builders, and the best damn generation of humans ever.
YOU? You can't even season a chicken without calling it oppression. You can't hear a baby cry without calling it trauma. You are soft, weak, entitled, and useless.
You are NOT the only one who went through hell. You are just the ONLY one who made hell your whole personality.
There is nothing inherently “suffering” about this. A lot of it is simply a choice rooted in companionship. Enough of this gender war and this excessive wokeness.
Till date, my dad cannot eat if my mum goes out and she is not home yet. Once it starts getting late, he becomes uneasy, and that uneasiness spreads across the entire house.
“Young man, your mother is not back yet?”
Every five minutes, you will see him calling her. He will not relax. “See the weather is changing, rain should not beat my wife oo.”
When we had only one car, once my mum called that she was done, my dad would drive, no matter the distance, to go and bring her back.
They eat together, shower together, read books together, listen to music together. They do almost everything together. They understood the aspect of companionship in marriage.
One of the problems with our generation is that we dissect every single thing. Every act of service is subjected to rigorous negative interpretation, and this is one of the reasons relationships and marriages are not working. We have become so determined to identify toxicity that sometimes we end up pathologising genuine affection.
For many couples, waiting for each other before eating is simply a choice. Nobody is holding a gun to anyone’s head. Nobody is being forbidden from eating. They simply enjoy eating together. They start their marriage with that habit, and over time, sharing meals becomes part of the rhythm of their relationship.
The older generation, for all their flaws, understood something we seem to be losing: your spouse is supposed to be your companion, not merely the person you happen to share a house with.
They enjoyed each other’s company. They spent time together. They had routines together. They built their lives around one another. This is why you see that when one person dies, sometimes, you see the surviving spouse deteriorate so fast after losing their partner, and eventually, they die too. This because they have lost the person who was deeply woven into the fabric of their everyday life.
But this generation, we are seeing couples where the only time they love each other is on social media. If one person dies, give it one year, the other person will remarry and easily move on with his or her life.
“Manage your boss better”
“Manage your supervisor better”
You earn more than I do
More experience on the job
But na me suppose dey manage you lol
The constant infantilization of Nigerian adults in a bid to coddle their egos will be the end of them
Disgusting shit
Fun fact:
A cat's reaction time of between 20 and 70 milliseconds and a snake's striking speed of between 44 and 70 milliseconds, is primarily what makes it possible for cats to get this close to snakes and still dodge their bites.
The difference may be negligible from a human perspective, but it is that difference, however slight, that makes it possible for cats to execute the lightning speed reaction required to counter a snake's strike despite being in its face.
To put it in context, a dog's reaction time is between 100 and 200 ms, and a human's is between 200 to 250 ms.
If that human supports APC, or is in love, however, then they become even slower
@therealtruman24@agi_moche@lee_Duruwe_ A jury is a group of 12 people picked randomly from all walks of life- from a petty trader to an executive- to deliver judgment on a case in the courtroom.
Lawyers argue their positions and the jury decides if the accused is guilty or not. The judge just delivers the verdict.
If Lindsay Clancy is found innocent because hormones made her emotionally unstable, women better be very careful celebrating that verdict.
Because the law loves PRECEDENT.
From that day forward, every job application is going to have a new question:
“Are you currently hormonal?”
“Well, I’m a woman.”
“Thank you. I think we’ll be going in another direction.”
You can’t carry a weapon anymore. No female police officers. Sorry, but we cannot hand a loaded gun to somebody whose legal defense might eventually be, “My hormones were acting up.”
No more high-stress jobs, either. No air-traffic controllers. No surgeons. No nuclear-launch codes. One bad hot flash and boom 💥 Canada is glowing.
And women definitely can’t be judges. How can you decide whether somebody else is emotionally stable when your own gender just established in court that hormones can make you kill three people?
No female politicians, either. You can’t be trusted to run the country if, according to your own argument, your endocrine system occasionally takes over the government.
And custody hearings are going to change overnight.
The judge will say, “Ordinarily, children belong with their mother. However, according to the Lindsay Clancy precedent, she may be only one hormone away from a Netflix documentary. The children go with Dad.”
Dad doesn’t know their shoe sizes, the pediatrician’s name or which one is allergic to peanuts, but his testosterone has never been successfully used as an insanity defense.
Feminists spent a hundred years saying women are not hysterical, irrational creatures controlled by their biology and one defense attorney walks into court and says, “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury… have you considered the uterus?”
You cannot demand equal authority and then ask for discounted accountability.
If women want equal rights, great. But equal rights come with equal wrongs.
Otherwise, that glass ceiling is about to become a padded ceiling.
