It drives me nuts when people who have or work with children think children are less deserving of respect just because they are younger. If you want them to respect you, you have to role model kind, loving, non-judgemental, respectful behaviour!
This message needs to keep circulating and spreading until it replaces the archaic narrative that's still out there and becomes the accepted norm.
Where offering comfort to a dysregulated baby/toddler/child can still be seen as 'spoiling', we still have work to do. Cont below..
@EllieMRogers I once had a male GP tell me to expect some “slight discomfort” as it went in. I asked that he never under-prepare someone like that again!
The amount of abuse towards vulnerable adults and children on @tiktok_uk is alarming. Those reviewing reports would benefit from some safeguarding training.
Therese Coffey is not only the most incompetent Health Secretary ever to have walked the face of the earth .... she's also a real and present danger to the public health of the nation.
Antibiotics are not fucking Smarties.
Dear @theresecoffey,
It is indicated you may have breached sections 46(1) & 47(1) of The Human Medicines Regulations 2012 by supplying your friends and/or family with prescribed antibiotics
It is only right you stand down from @DHSCgovuk to prevent bringing it into disrepute.
A thread about using fonts/typography in presentations. Decisions about text matter. Just as you can speak the same word in many ways, the way you write text can affect communication, emotion, and attitude. 🧵1/19
@gaswomancometh Seeing this has resulted in me falling down a rabbit hole (mole hole?!) of looking at close up pictures of mole teeth and mole paws, and watching videos of them dig. Weird creatures. Must stop and go to bed!
GP momentarily confused by triage note “bitten by a mole” and thought I’d been chomped in close proximity to a naevus.
“Please send picture of mole”
Me “Weird, but okay…”
Let's destroy the idea of a "good" baby. All babies are brilliant! They behave like babies. Sometimes, they are unhappy, or have needs, and have to communicate this in different ways. That doesn't make them "bad". Asking if their baby is good can feed parental anxiety. Stop it.
