'FALLING' at @BirminghamRep LOVE & REBELLION Festival ❤️ 🎭
Directed by Richard Hayhow, 'FALLING' was devised by our Friday Group, a weekly group of young people who meet to explore the creative possibilities of non-verbal physical theatre.
Thank you to everyone who came along!
What a great week we've had at @covcampus with
@HollywoodGaming and digital artist Ashley James Brown exploring immersive technology! 🕹️
Exploring motion-capture suits and more, this will be the start of a programme to explore how immersive technology can be more inclusive.
We've launched a new project designed to make immersive arts experiences more accessible for those with #LearningDisabilities.
The project, entitled Inclusive Immersive, has been awarded almost £50,000 in funding from the @ace_national's National Lottery Project Grants and sees the university collaborate with Coventry-based @Open_Theatre_Co, which works closely with young people with learning disabilities.
It is hoped this could result in new guidance for universities and arts organisations relating to immersive arts experiences.
Rachel Farrer, Associate Director of Cultural and Community Engagement at #CoventryUniversity, said: "We are thrilled to have secured funding from Arts Council England, which will enable us to lead a consortium of leading organisations spanning arts, technology and research.
"Together we will explore how immersive technology can be used more inclusively within the arts and entertainment sector, paving the way to more accessible and innovative projects that will enhance the lives of learning disabled artists and audiences."
Visit https://t.co/UINeFHdRhn to find out more and to learn how @HollywoodGaming and @VodafoneUK are getting involved.
The project will see artists and participants with learning disabilities collaborate.
