Two firefighters and one member of the public have been confirmed dead following a fire incident at Bicester, Oxfordshire.
This is terrible news. Our thoughts are with their families, friends and colleagues.
The FBU will be on hand to provide support in the coming days.
21 Fire Cadets from our Voice Forum & their leaders took part in a fantastic residential this past weekend @PGLTravel Caythorpe Court! As well as having fun we began work on an outcomes framework for UK Fire Cadets to help measure the impact Fire Cadet programmes have 🔥
They took part in fun and enriching experiences to develop wider key skills in communication, problem solving & working with others.
We are proud of all the children who completed the course and have developed skills to keep themselves safe within their homes & communities!
Congratulations to students from Our Lady of Walsingham (Sefton), St Vincent De Pauls (Liverpool), St Joseph & The Worker (Knowsley) and Cathcart Street (Wirral) who celebrated the end of their Beacon Courses last week! 🔥🚒
Aintree's Open Day 2024!
Just another great @UKFireCadets experience with @MerseyFire at Aintree's Open Day
Our cadets showed our technical knowledge and teamworking skills during out demonstration of Breathing Apparatus at a House Fire.
Could of had better weather though!
Brilliant day at the @MerseyFire Aintree open day. It’s always great to be able to engage with young people and their families and give them a taste of what we do as a Fire & Rescue Service.
@jmurton5 @MerseyFire@merseyrail@rmurton5 It was great to show you around our facility today to see the trains. If you ever want to come back again I’m sure we can arrange something just drop me a message 🚒👍🏻
@juan_mbw It’s a safeguarding issue more than anything. The players who have witnessed these injuries have to be protected just as much. We can’t rely on compassion it needs implementing as a solid rule for all refs coaches and club officials. Hope he is ok 👍🏻
@ryanlennon2020@PhilGarrigan@MerseyFire Great video Ryan. You can see our Fire Cadets in the minibus on the left of the video on our way back from Old Swan Fire Station. We enjoyed the crew turning out just as much!

In collaboration with @MerseyFire, our Beacon course is providing specially-selected primary school children access to alternative education and skills. 🚒
Whilst improving school attendance, self-esteem and purpose, Beacon bridges a gap that benefits the entire community, Also helping create future police, ambulance, and fire officers.
What an amazing team we have got at Bootle. So proud of how well our Cadets have picked up their new skills and delighted we have been able to reward the progress of three of our cadets with promotions. Onwards and upwards 👏🏻 @MerseyFire
Our Fire Cadets at Bootle & Netherton have been working on communication, teamwork & leadership skills🚒
On Wednesday, they took part in a Foam Drill and three Fire Cadets were promoted to Crew Manager and Watch Manager 👨🚒👩🚒
Well done to all of the Fire Cadets!
@rocketsrainhill@dengodiver Moaning about a young lad not telling you how long is left when he’s trying to concentrate on the game ? You’d be first to throw it on Twitter if he missed something while looking at his watch as honest feedback 🤣
First time up at FPA Sports Hub. Great set up. 2 brilliant games. Second game was fantastic. The U10 derby finished 1-0 both teams going at it loads of football until the final whistle. Very competitive game. Well done all involved @_MYFL
Great derby game @FootballPerf3 Sports Hub. In windy conditions Sao Paulo boys came out on top with a winner from Luke Tones. Great performances all round but special mention to MVP Joe, Lucas and Jacob Brown.

So much positive engagement from children & young people at today’s open day at Kirkdale. Young people got to squirt water, try on equipment, use throw lines & learn about the Youth Programmes @MerseyFire offer. Also great for us to meet some of our local Spotters 🚒📸
