War is horrifying. The collective effort of Ukrainians to not give in to despair — and instead do some sick donuts in a stolen Russian tank — is impressive and so incredibly Ukrainian.
This is surveillance footage of two individuals entering a downtown Ottawa apartment building, near the center of the convoy, barring the doors and attempting to start a fire.
If you can identify either of the men, and don't feel comfortable contacting the police, please DM me.
If anyone doubted the threat this protest posed to residents of downtown #Ottawa — this incident shows the kind of danger the community has been living through. The Ottawa Police need to strictly enforce the law and end this occupation.
LIVING WITH COVID, a 🧵
Since covid isn’t going away (thanks to a series of poor choices over the last 2 years), it’s time to brainstorm what a real exit strategy might look like because “living with covid means accepting more deaths” doesn’t work for me. We can do better.
Here are some preliminary estimates:
For every 1% increase in population vaccine coverage in Ontario, 3 week downstream ICU admissions decrease by 0.8%.
For every 1% increase in fraction of cases due to delta, risk of ICU admission, 3 week downstream ICU admissions increase 6%
Des grandes nouvelles à partager. Bien que je sois triste de quitter la merveilleuse équipe du @WOCRC_CRCOO , je suis ravie de rejoindre une autre équipe formidable au @CentretownCHC .

"Black residents are facing higher rates of the virus because, in many cases, they were the ones who stepped up to keep the city running during the early lockdowns by working in the front-line service or health-care sectors."
