How evil and desperate do you need to be and why were they so desperate, why years later. The two original complainers did not wish the matter to go to the police. For the avoidance of doubt Salmond was acquitted on all charges. This after the SNP's internal process was declared unlawful. " because the Investigating Officer (Judith Mackinnon) had prior involvement with the complainers before being appointed. Salmond died at 69 years of age. His father died aged 95, his mother aged 81.
