It's great to see the Science Secretary launch the new Regulatory Innovation Office to accelerate access to emerging technologies.
While this is a positive step forward, it’s worth noting the limited emphasis on climate and the clean economy in the Office’s priorities.
Technologies like engineering biology, space innovations, AI in healthcare, and autonomous tech will undoubtedly improve efficiency and services, but they may not significantly "shift the dial" on the climate crisis—the most pressing challenge we face.
