Yesterday morning I took an elderly lady shopping. My heart broke for her.

She's been placed in a house miles from everything. There are no shops, no doctor's surgery, nowhere she can walk to, hardly any neighbours, and she's been separated from her daughter and grandchildren. Every time she needs to see a GP, buy food or simply get into town, she has to pay for a taxi. I'd imagine she's spending around £100, at least, a week just on taxis. There are no buses to her house ans she cant walk far. She doesn't have the internet, only has a landline, and every week I see her becoming a little more lonely, a little more confused, and a little more overwhelmed. She worked all her life from 12 she told me, paid into the system all her life, and this is what she's left with.

My next passenger was a lovely Bangladeshi lady in a 4 bed council house on the estate the elderly ladys daughter lives on. She was genuinely really nice and sweet - this isn't a criticism of her at all.

She was travelling the train station to go to Plymouth to sit her citizenship test. She asked me for a receipt because her transport would be reimbursed, told me she has a free rail and bus pass, and receives food vouchers. If she passes, she hopes her family will be able to join her here.

This is absolutely nothing against her.

But surely people can understand why so many of us feel something has gone badly wrong with the system.

An elderly British woman, who paid taxes for decades, is left isolated, spending a huge chunk of her meagre pension simply trying to buy groceries and see a doctor, while the state is able to fund transport and other support elsewhere, in a county where over 30 thousand native Cornish are homeless, and the council is in £1.3bn of debt - this is absolutely insane.

Our priorities are completely upside down.

Today, we were told that the 15-year-old boy who killed our beautiful 9-year-old niece, Aria, with a single stab wound to the chest is NOT GUILTY of murder or manslaughter.

How is this justice?

What message does this send to society? What does it teach people when a child can lose her life in such a horrific and senseless way, yet nobody is held accountable?

The UK is facing an epidemic of knife crime, and cases like this only leave families wondering what consequences truly exist. Something has to change.

Aria was only 9 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She should be making memories, laughing with her family, growing up and chasing her dreams. Instead, we’ll try live every day with a pain that will never leave us.

Our family has effectively been handed a life sentence. We will carry this grief, heartbreak, and loss for the rest of our lives.

Meanwhile, the person responsible walks free.

We will never stop speaking Aria’s name. We will never stop fighting for justice. And we will never stop loving and missing our beautiful girl.

Rest in peace, Aria. Forever 9 💔

They had to have a by-election by a Labour MP resigning, to get someone in to replace him.

Starmer: "The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred." Contempt of Court Act 1981:

"Publications that create a substantial risk of serious prejudice to active criminal proceedings can amount to contempt. This includes public comments that risk influencing jurors, witnesses, or the administration of justice."

MOTIVE is often a key element the prosecution must prove. Commenting on it publicly — especially from the Prime Minister — can be seen as pre-judging or endorsing one side’s narrative before evidence is tested in court. High-profile comments carry extra weight because they reach a wide audience and could affect potential jurors or public perception.

Starmer has stated the motive was anti-Muslim hatred. He has acted, as PM, for the prosecution. Ditto the police.

Do your job @metpoliceuk and arrest Starmer. There cannot be one law for us and a different law for them.
